“Who looks outside dreams; who looks inside awakes.”

Welcome
My Approach
I see you as more than the trauma, the grief or struggle that brings you to therapy. I see you as more than ego or persona (the image we present to the world), and I see you as much more than any diagnosis or label.
Much of my work as a psychologist centers around the question: “How is your relationship with yourself?” The longest relationship we ever have is with ourselves, and the quality of this relationship is reflected in our relationships with others and the world. When we begin to look at our relationship with ourselves, we often find that we are only in touch with a small part of the totality of who we are. I believe a lot of our distress and suffering comes from the fact that we are alienated from our true selves, we have lost connection to an aware relationship with ourselves.
I am interested in wholeness. Therefore, I take a holistic and integrative approach in my work incorporating conscious and unconscious processes while attending to the mind, the body, emotion, and spirit. I often work with dreams using a Jungian perspective which views dreams as symbolic, condensed messages from the psyche containing wisdom.
As a psychologist, I attend to mind, body, spirit, and emotion by using a therapeutic approach that integrates contemporary trauma research, depth psychological perspectives, and mindfulness practices. Because I see each person as a unique individual, I adapt these various therapeutic approaches while continually assessing what works best for each person.
There are 2 essential requirements for this work: the first is courage; the second is compassion. It takes great courage to look honestly at ourselves, at who we are in the world. But if we can do this with compassion, the rewards are invaluable.
I work well with people who want to become more conscious, more aware, who want to better understand themselves.
